Paul Thompson BSc - General Manager
Paul originally led a management buy in of TIR in April 2005. With a wealth of Managerial, Marketing and Sales expertise Paul completed his degree and spent a brief period in Marketing, working for an international company specializing in automation systems before joining Ellis Fairbank plc, a major player in the UK recruitment industry. He quickly and successfully progressed through the organization specializing in operational and commercial positions within the Industrial sector. Branch management was fast approaching, when the opportunity to invest in and manage his own business arose. After running TIR for 18 months, Paul opted to sell to The DEFLOG VQ Trust Ltd, in order to take advantage of greater resources and allow the company to realise its true potential. He transferred as part of the assets, and is now fully responsible for the management of the business, with a particular focus on the Sales and Marketing side of the business.
Shah Wright - Logistics Co-ordinator
Shah Wright has been involved in Logistics Training since leaving the Army in 2000, although not from a logistics or training background, he quickly adapted to the roll when offered a position with DefLog VQ Trust in June 2001. During his time with DefLog he gained the necessary qualifications to take the roll of Internal Verifier (Logistics) for the company.
When Deflog acquired TIR Training Services in 2006 he transferred across to become Logistics Training Co-ordinator and is now the lead Assessor/Internal Verifier for TIR Training Services as well as overseeing all other logistics related courses.
Terry Ellis - LGV Instructor
Terry Ellis has been with the business for well over a year and is our number one LGV Driving Instructor. Terry can train any driving discipline including public and private LGV Training and is heavily involved at the moment in our outsourced training packages for government organisations and recruiting new drivers and instructors. Terry has a very strong driving and haulage background, spending 22 years in the industry before joining us.
Chris Pulling - LGV Instructor
Chris Pulling has been with the business since 2004 and is a very experienced LGV Driving Instructor. Chris can train any driving discipline including public and private LGV Training and is heavily involved at the moment in our outsourced training packages for government organisations and recruiting new drivers and instructors. Chris has a broad background in transport, and tuition in particular, having experience in motorcycle tuition in additon to LGV tuition.
Sarah Stimpson & Jenny Mather - Company/Sales Administrators
Sarah and Jenny are the first point of contact for most people contacting the organisation and both operate 'front of house'.
